there's a suggested fast for all the UCG members worldwide for the upcoming GCE. so, we decided to fast starting tonight and we included fasting for the upcoming UYC, and others.. That everything would turn out well, and ask God to direct, guide and inspire the final decision of the GCE whether to pursue the plans on moving the home office to Texas.

just wanna share some thoughts w/c i've been contemplating lately (this was in regards to the DUB season)… about the two types of sin.
the sin of COMMISSION (1 Jn. 3:4) — doing the things that we should NOT be doing.
the sin of OMISSION (James 4:17) — NOT doing the things that we SHOULD be doing.
As God required us to keep away from leaven for seven days; and at the same time, He also required us to EAT unleavened bread for seven days.
it is a law of taking out and putting something in replacement of something that was removed.
i guess we people today are just focused on the first one. We tend to be conscious more to avoid breaking God's commandments. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. But on the other hand, we should also be cautious on what God wants us to do in addition to that. For instance, lets go on with the ten commandments one by one.
Lets just say…
>We have no other gods — but how much time do we spend each day devoting to prayer and bible study?
>We dont worship idols– but do we have anything or anyone that consumes our time thinking about?
>We dont take God's name in vain– but how many genuine, inspiring, kind words have we said to one another?
>We go to services– but how many people have been uplifted by your presence and just by talking to them.
>We honor our parents– but how often do we say "i love you" or thanking them for all their sacrifices and love?
>We havent killed anyone– but how many lives of people have we helped?
>We havent commited adultery– but are we sure our mind is always clean?
>We haven't stolen anything– but how often do we give?
>We have not lied– but how often do we say the things that are needed to be said?
>We have not coveted anything– but do we thank God everyday, counting each blessing we receive?
these are just a few examples i came up with… you can do other things… there's still many areas, like in tithing and stuff…
I know its hard to do it all, just always keep those in mind, and with God's help, little by little… we can do it.
just points to ponder.
anyway, i dont mean to sound soo religious and all that… but i have one suggestion if you like to try it too, every night just before you sleep after praying… try to play one hymn song in your mind, and meditate on the words… the words will come out more meaningful and you will have a happy sleep. :-D
goodnight! :-)
